The Seattle Mariners have locked in first baseman Josh Naylor<\/strong> with a long-term commitment, signing him to a five-year contract through the 2030 season, the team announced Tuesday.

Naylor, 28, joined Seattle via a midseason trade from the Arizona Diamondbacks and quickly became a difference-maker. In 54 regular-season games with the Mariners, he hit .299 with nine home runs, 33 RBIs, and stole 19 bases.

With Naylor locked in, Seattle isn\u2019t just hoping to compete \u2014 they\u2019re building a core. He joins the likes of Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodr\u00edguez to form a foundation that feels like it\u2019s built for something big. Solidifying first base was a priority, and they nailed it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
