Mariners Sign Josh Naylor

The Seattle Mariners have locked in first baseman Josh Naylor with a long-term commitment, signing him to a five-year contract through the 2030 season, the team announced Tuesday.

Naylor, 28, joined Seattle via a midseason trade from the Arizona Diamondbacks and quickly became a difference-maker. In 54 regular-season games with the Mariners, he hit .299 with nine home runs, 33 RBIs, and stole 19 bases.

With Naylor locked in, Seattle isn’t just hoping to compete — they’re building a core. He joins the likes of Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodríguez to form a foundation that feels like it’s built for something big. Solidifying first base was a priority, and they nailed it.
